IEEE (SPS)-ECE

IEEE is the world's largest technical professional organization which is dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global community through its highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities. IEEE student branch provides opportunities to meet and learn from fellow IEEE Student and Graduate Student Members and engage with professional IEEE members locally. An active IEEE Student Branch can be one of the most positive elements of the academic career, offering programs, activities, and professional networking opportunities that build critical skills outside of the classroom. IEEE currently has Student Branches at thousands of universities and colleges in hundreds of countries throughout the world. IEEE JSSATEN Student Branch (STB-05571) was started in the year of 2019 under the guidance of Dr. G. M. Patil, Principal, JSSATE Noida and Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Prof & Head, Department of Electrical Engineering, JSSATE Noida. IEEE JSSATEN Student is currently active branch of UP Section and conducting different activities as workshops, Webinars, Seminars, Guest lectures and many more. Student Members of IEEE JSSATEN are active in project submission and getting funding also from IEEE. Currently IEEE JSSATEN has more than 50 active student members who are engaged in various activities and trying to achieve the goal of IEEE “advancing technology for the benefit of humanity”. IEEE SPS Student chapter in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering was added with the inaugural function dated 19th June 2021.

ABOUT IEEE SPS INAUGURAL IN DEPARTMENT OF ECE

Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, JSS Academy of Technical Education, NOIDA in association with IEEE Student Branch JSSATEN organized an IEEE Inaugural event on IEEE (SPS- Signal Processing Society) on 19th June 2021 from 09:30 AM (Online). The event was conducted smoothly and successfully by the whole team of IEEE student coordinators and Chapter advisor- Dr BP Mishra, chapter advisor IEEE-SPS under the guidance of: Dr. Arun Kumar G, HoD ECE and Ms. Gunjan Varshney- Student Branch Counsellor. Speech was given by the Guest of Honours of the event- Dr HR Mahadevaswamy, Joint Director, TED, JSSMVP, Mysuru & Mr Ankit Yadav, Convener- STB, SBC, SBA Operations & Coordination Sub-committee, IEEE UP Section. Mr Ankit Yadav gave a lecture on Benefits of Joining IEEE and made us aware of IEEE Tools. After this, the session was taken up by the Chief Guest of the event- Dr Chitra Javali, Research Scientist in the domain of Cybersecurity, Singapore. She made all participants aware of the technological advancements in the field of Signal Processing with their research areas. The Presidential Address was delivered by our Principal Sir, Dr G.M. Patil- Principal JSSATE Noida, Mentor of IEEE JSSATEN. People showed a great interest in the inaugural event & 100+ faculty/ staff participating in it. All the HoDs, faculties and other staff members of JSSATE Noida were present. Investiture Ceremony was done by Mr Syed Hasan Askari Rizvi, IEEE JSSATEN Student Branch Chair.
